My Visit To A Historical Place
Historical place means a place which bears the testimony of history. It is an important place because it teaches us many things. It also helps us increase the storehouse of our knowledge. Bangladesh is a land that has made a lot of history. Everywhere there are places of historical interest. Visiting a historical place is truly interesting and exciting. Visits to such places bear a great value too. Besides, it helps us to remove the dullness of mind which occurs from the monotonous classes. On 15 January 2013, I paid a visit to Sonargaon. I went there with some of my friends and two of my teachers. It is a place of historical importance. It is now located in the district of Narayanganj, not far from Dhaka city. Once it was the capital of Bangladesh for a long time. It was ruled by the Muslim rulers. So, it has a glorious past with many relics of the then Sultans. The certain relics and remnants are still worth seeing and enjoying. The sights and scenery are very charming. We have watched the palace of the then emperor. There is a museum in Sonargaon. We also went to the museum and saw different things which were used by the Muslim rulers. They reminded us of the then rulers as well as supplemented our knowledge of its history. We all have enjoyed the sights and scenes. I will never forget this visit. It is a wonderful experience that I have ever achieved. It was indeed a rewarding visit. It is still crystal clear in my memory.
