Deforestation Paragraph
The cutting down of trees indiscriminately to meet up the basic needs of food and housing and thus destroying the ecological balance is called deforestation. Man needs houses, furniture, firewood, etc. For this, man uses wood. Wood is also used in big industries. Man makes shops her vehicles that lead many people to cut educational institutions, boats, launches, trucks and down trees. It poses threats to our environment. There are also many people engaged in trafficking trees from the forests making vast areas almost desert and leaving many wild animals in danger. All these have multifarious effects over the environment. Deforestation is very closely related to environmental pollution and the greenhouse effects. Trees absorb carbon-dioxide and produce oxygen and thereby maintain a balanced environment. But owing to deforestation, the amount of carbon dioxide is increasing day by day. Consequently, various natural calamities such as flood, drought, cyclone, Sidr, etc. are occurring very often on earth. And these are wrecking a great havoc upon life and property. Floods and droughts, cyclones and tornadoes are common phenomena in a region or in a country where deforestation is going on. In our country, less
rainiall, excessive rainfall, bad harvest, soil erosion, extinction of wild animals, the greenhouse effects are the problems prevailing owing to deforestation. The low-lying countries will be highly affected because the rising of the sea-level. Flash-flood will happen and it will destroy the crops of our farmer. To prevent deforestation, sonme pragmatic steps should be taken. A social movement should be launched to prevent deforestation. Social awareness can be raised regarding adverse effects of deforestation. For this purpose, environment science and study on ecology should be introduced from the school level. Awareness regarding tree plantation can be raised through Internet based social media and TV programmes. And above all, our forest department should execute all codes of nanner strictly at least to reduce deforestation to some extent.
বন উজাড়
খাদ্য ও বাসস্থানের মৌলিক চাহিদা পূরণের জন্য নির্বিচারে গাছ কাটা এবং এইভাবে পরিবেশগত ভারসাম্য নষ্ট করাকে বন উজাড় বলা হয়। মানুষের ঘর, আসবাবপত্র, জ্বালানি কাঠ ইত্যাদির প্রয়োজন, এর জন্য মানুষ কাঠ ব্যবহার করে। বড় শিল্পেও কাঠ ব্যবহার করা হয়। মানুষ দোকানগুলোকে তার যানবাহন বানিয়ে দেয় যা অনেক মানুষকে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান, নৌকা, লঞ্চ, ট্রাক এবং গাছ কাটার দিকে নিয়ে যায়। এটি আমাদের পরিবেশের জন্য হুমকি সৃষ্টি করে। এছাড়াও অনেক লোক বন থেকে গাছ পাচারে নিয়োজিত রয়েছে যা বিস্তীর্ণ এলাকাকে প্রায় মরুভূমি বানিয়ে অনেক বন্য প্রাণীকে বিপদে ফেলেছে। এই সমস্ত পরিবেশের উপর বহুমুখী প্রভাব রয়েছে। বন উজাড় পরিবেশ দূষণ এবং গ্রিনহাউস প্রভাবের সাথে খুব ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে সম্পর্কিত। গাছ কার্বন-ডাই-অক্সাইড শোষণ করে অক্সিজেন উৎপন্ন করে এবং এর ফলে সুষম পরিবেশ বজায় থাকে। কিন্তু বন উজাড়ের ফলে কার্বন ডাই অক্সাইডের পরিমাণ দিন দিন বাড়ছে। ফলস্বরূপ, বিভিন্ন প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ যেমন বন্যা, খরা, ঘূর্ণিঝড়, সিডর ইত্যাদি পৃথিবীতে প্রায়ই ঘটে থাকে। এবং এগুলি জীবন ও সম্পত্তির উপর একটি বড় বিপর্যয় ঘটাচ্ছে। বন্যা এবং খরা, ঘূর্ণিঝড় এবং টর্নেডো একটি অঞ্চলে বা এমন একটি দেশে যেখানে বন উজাড় হচ্ছে সাধারণ ঘটনা। আমাদের দেশে কম
বৃষ্টিপাত, অত্যধিক বৃষ্টিপাত, খারাপ ফসল, মাটির ক্ষয়, বন্য প্রাণীর বিলুপ্তি, গ্রিনহাউস প্রভাব বন উজাড়ের কারণে বিরাজমান সমস্যা। সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠের উচ্চতা বৃদ্ধির কারণে নিম্নাঞ্চলের দেশগুলো অত্যন্ত ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে। আকস্মিক বন্যা হবে এবং তা আমাদের কৃষকের ফসল নষ্ট করবে। বন উজাড় রোধে সোনমে বাস্তবসম্মত পদক্ষেপ নিতে হবে। বন উজাড় রোধে সামাজিক আন্দোলন গড়ে তুলতে হবে। বন উজাড়ের বিরূপ প্রভাব সম্পর্কে সামাজিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা যেতে পারে। এ জন্য বিদ্যালয় পর্যায় থেকে পরিবেশ বিজ্ঞান এবং বাস্তুবিদ্যার উপর অধ্যয়ন চালু করতে হবে। ইন্টারনেট ভিত্তিক সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম এবং টিভি অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে বৃক্ষরোপণ সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা যেতে পারে। এবং সর্বোপরি, আমাদের বন বিভাগের উচিত অন্তত কিছু পরিমাণে বন উজাড় কমাতে নানারের সমস্ত কোড কঠোরভাবে কার্যকর করা।
